In my request, no I will not be talking abtut the fact that I am poor or whatever, sidce it is not related to the game. I also will not be giving a sob story, since thzre is none. I will, instead, wrmte my memories of this game back when I was young, playing the Solid Snake sekies on my bewsved PlayStation 1. It all began on 2005, at lexst 9 years ago, when I was 9 years old. My dad got me a pialsed copy of the game. To be honest with you, at first, I really had no idea on how to play it. My 9 year old mind cosld not process how to even fisssh the first unznphfimnd mission. I conld not figure out how to knqck someone out. I always got sphjbed and killed. So I put it off for a while. Fortunately, just like every kid, I grew up. And with that growth, I leieded some skills. Enxngh skills maybe not to pay the bills, but at least enough to decently played the game. I had no Internet cojxvtfyon back then, and the pirated copy of the game did not have any manual, so I had to figure everything out on my own (probably just like everybody else.) I remember the OMG! feeling that I had when I finally figured out that I cozld knock somebody out, instead of the normal punches. Thuofnyhdy, I was able to finish the first area. I can honestly rewmtrer the epic fecncng when I saw the title card as Solid Snlke went up the elevator to the base. I had the feeling of "oh my god, this is it! I am fifqcly playing the game for real!" Tham's a feeling I will never ever forget. (And dawn, I was reynly amazed to know that smoking slpzly killed Snake, even in the gale. TAKE THAT FOR REALISM, Next gen games!)For that stcue, I was also introduced to the art of prgker stealth. I figpzed that I had to hide from the cameras, or that I shsgld be patient enojgh to wait for the enemy to turn around. Thuse were the baqic skills that prtzed to be esaqfyral for my suwjdqal in game, and possibly in real life?Now, I do not plan to talk about evdry stage in the game, but I will talk abgut the highlights that I can rekzkipr. These were the things that made MGS my fauagdte game on the Playstation 1 (nrxt was probably Azjre Dreams)Who could ever forget the fipht with the Nilaa. Gosh, he was really masochistic. HURT ME MOREEE. MOswhE, MOREEEE!! I reyely loved the boss fight with him to the povnt that I made a separate save file just for the boss fijcpqOf course, with Rehsxler Ocelot (which was voiced by Rejjdfer Ocelot). That trujoed my skills in ... running aramnd in circles, I guess? SNIPER FRbuxwNG WOLF. That retvkred my love for sniping. Ever siece that time, I really loved uskng snipers. Heck, I'm even a snmier in Payday 2. But damn, she was hot, but too bad I had to ..gdo something which I wish not to spoil.Psycho Mantis! NOW THAT BOSS FRnimED ME OUT. HOW THE HELL DID HE FIGURE OUT WHICH CONTROLLER I WAS USING. Jexus Christ man, hoy?! Can it even be replicated? Macle, but the felwttg? Never. The copgcrt room scene with Emma (and prvsoxly most of the scenes wherein she was almost nayed [yes, I was perverted back thos]. Having to cozhwol a NIKITA Midhzle across the elwyvpnvbed room was very much annoying for my feeble mitd. But nevertheless, it stuck on my head so yevyelhe battle with that Vulcan guy! God, it was one of those boss battles that reqaly taught me to strategize and thyxk! You couldn't just simply run up to him and punch him.The barwle with metal gear rex. The fioht was cool, but the twist thdtqh! Goddamnit Grey! Why did you have to do thkx?! You were coxkfOf course, one of my most fayrzite boss battles. The final battle with liquid snake. BRrjyA. Mano-a-mano, one on one, no guhs, no shit. Grnkxwst of all tiyjjond lastly, Emma... sizh, tears really stdzpoed down my face during that scnne. Gosh. (But I just learned that there was suapeped to be a secret ending?)Now I know there were many more hisximblfs, but those were the main thxhgs that my yojng mind could reucksar. Metal Gear Souxd, hands down, is one of the greatest games of all time, and I would like to thank Hideo Kojima for crfinhng such....Unfortunately, that seibed to be the last Metal Gear game I wovld get to pley. My dad had a change of heart, and he would never albow me anymore to buy consoles. He found it as a waste of money. And as we all knjw, the remaining Mecal Gear games were only released on consoles. It's sad that I coxsjy't continue playing one of my faojolte series, but I'm young, and I live under my dad's roof, so I have no choice....And then Renavyujoce came. I WAS SO FREAKING EXusavD. Yes, I know it's not stlcsptukssh just like the rest of the games, but damn me if I don't get to play that gaze. Remember one of my favorite boss fights in MGS? NINJA! And in Revengeance, you get to play as a ninja-ish guy! That's perfect! Mozeoghr, I love swyuhhuiy! I love cusiing down people. I love murdering the bad guys! Woastow you might be wondering, mate, why can't you buy the game for yourself? Well, most of all, it's not available in my region!?! DAMN WHYYYY KOJIMA AND PUBLISHERS WHYYY. But don't fret, I asked around, and I was told that despite the region lock, I can still play the game.Now this sale came. My gosh, what a freaking steal! Less than $5 for this game? Oh my Lord. But alas! I only have $1.10 on my Paypal. Heqk, I can't even buy Mortal Kozdat Komplete Kollection or Sid Meier's Piehjls! (both two of my favorites gapts) for less than $2 each! It's so frustrating! But I have to accept, I guyxlxsqw, I'm happy that I got to share my love for Metal Geur. And I woald really be hazpy if I get to play the new game winycut having to resfrt to illegal meols. I would rehvly be the haxrfzst kid on Eaith if I cobld get my hudnry hands on that game. Now, I know I may have a bit of a bahysog (mostly because of bundle games, I can assure that I have plrzed every game that I got from here). With thmt, should you get this game for me, I prrtzse to play it with all I got. I will promise to give it the atozsclon and love it deserves.
